Epson announced the End-of-Life (EOL) for the Epson ColorWorks C3500 Label Printer effective November 30th, 2022. The Epson ColorWorks C4000 is the recommended replacement for the Epson ColorWorks C3500.

Helpful Tip: Epson states that when using the printer for the first time, the replacement interval for the maintenance box is shorter than usual as ink charging consumes the ink. This is why Texas Label Printers recommends that customers also purchase an additional maintenance box and an additional set of ink cartridges at the time of purchase.

This product is grossly exaggerated in the advertisement. The quality you see in the video is not what you will get using this machine.
Disappointed in the lack of support and responsibility that Texas Label Printer offered when this machine did not meet advertise standards. Will not be purchasing here again

  We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your purchase and that you find Epson’s video advertisement as grossly exaggerated. We have shared your opinion about the video directly with Epson and they disagree with your assessment and they have expressed that it is an accurate depiction. Our service manager noted that the labels that you have been printing are a fraction of the size and use a smaller font than the ones shown in the video — which may be part of the reason why you feel that the video is exaggerated. Nonetheless, the video itself is mostly meant to demonstrate the operational features of the printer and not display the print quality/resolution. To truly view the capabilities of this printer or any label printer that we sell, you must view them in person because a video cannot possibly display the label’s true appearance — this is why we include the “Request Free Sample Labels” button on every page of our website and encourage users of our website to contact us, so that we can make sure you are purchasing a printer that is right for you. The Epson ColorWorks C3500 is an entry-level label printer that prints at 720 x 360 dpi, which is relatively low compared to other label printers that we sell. If you require higher printer resolution (so that you can print high-detail graphics or fine print), we recommend the new Epson ColorWorks C6000A, which has very similar specifications to the C3500 but has a higher print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. We also sell Memjet-based Afinia label printers that can print up to 1600 x 1600 dpi (currently the highest in the digital label printer industry). Regardless, we still recommend that all customers or prospective buyers request free printed samples so that they can be viewed in person before making a major purchase since our return policy does not allow for used printers to be returned.

This has a faster print speed than expected. Ink cost per label is great. Resolution is just OK but sufficient for our needs. You can’t find a label printer as inexpensive as this one. The free shipping was also EXTREMELY fast. Thank you!

  Most all of the printers that we sell only have Windows OS print drivers. However, some of the label printers that have Mac and Linux print drivers are the Epson ColorWorks C6000/C6500 series and all versions of the NeuraLabel 300x. We will start shipping the Epson ColorWorks C6500A & C6500P (8″ wide versions) in the first or second week of February, and the Epson ColorWorks C6000A & C6000P (4″ wide versions) are expected to start shipping in April 2020.

I highly recommend buying the spare-in-the-air replacement warranty with this printer if your business can’t afford to be without a label printer for a 2-3 weeks! Texas Label Printers encouraged us to buy the warranty with our printer and it has definitely paid off! We ran into a service issue only once since we purchased this printer and Epson overnighted us a new replacement printer because we have the replacement warranty. Epson said that if we didn’t have this warranty that we would have had to pay to ship our printer to them for repair which would have left us without a label printer for 2-3 weeks. It was definitely worth it for the price.

We use this printer to print about 20 to 100 color labels including barcodes every day. It is a good compact label printer if you require durable color labels that are less than 4 inches in width. Ground shipping was quick – our printer arrived 3 days after we ordered it.
