Epson’s ExtendedCare Extended Depot Warranty is a service program designed to provide you with continued repair coverage for one year beyond the standard one-year warranty period (for example, selecting “2-Year Extended Depot Warranty – ECTMC-I” will extend the warranty period by one additional year for a total of 2 years of warranty coverage). ExtendedCare service covers failures due to defects in materials and workmanship during the term of the agreement. No renewal of extended service is available after expiration of your fifth-year plan or if your current plan expires.

Epson’s Spare-In-The-Air printer exchange program is an extremely affordable service solution for companies that cannot afford to have their systems out of service for longer than 24 hours. This quick, overnight replacement warranty program bridges the gap between the turn-around time of depot repair and the higher cost of on-site service. Make one phone call to Epson and a replacement* unit is express-shipped overnight to arrive the next day. Then just return the damaged unit to Epson. It’s that easy. And shipping both ways is paid for by Epson. No renewal of extended service is available after expiration of your fifth-year plan or if your current plan expires.

*The replacement product or parts may be new or refurbished to the Epson standard of quality.

Details
By default, a standard one-year limited depot repair warranty is included with the purchase of the Epson ColorWorks C6000 & C6500 series label printers. Epson’s On-Site ExtendedCare Service Plan replaces the standard one-year limited warranty and provides on-site service (typically within 24 hours) nearly anywhere within the United States and Canada. You must purchase at least a one-year upgrade any time during the first 30 days of the limited warranty period to get on-site repair services for the C7500G. You may purchase up five years of extended on-site service plans. Each service plan can be purchased with the printer or while a previous service plan is still in effect. No renewal of extended service is available after expiration of your fifth-year plan or if your current plan expires.

Description

The first label printer specifically designed as a color upgrade to black-and-white thermal transfer printers1, the Epson ColorWorks C6000A Inkjet Label Printer delivers on-demand, color labels up to 4″ wide at a comparable price2. Engineered by Epson for mission-critical applications, this reliable color label printer speeds through labels at up to 5.8″ per second3. Featuring up to 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, the Epson CW-C6000A produces crisp color images for cost and inventory reductions comparable to pre-printed labels. This versatile printer also offers seamless integration with your organization’s existing workflow and is built to accommodate remote printer management — providing compatibility with ZPL II, SAP® and more.

Epson C6000A with Auto Cutter

The Epson ColorWorks C6000A comes standard with an 4″ wide built-in auto cutter to create variable-length labels and enable easy job separation. Epson’s ColorWorks C6000/C6500 series also includes the Epson ColorWorks C6000P (Epson CW-C6000P), Epson ColorWorks C6500A (Epson CW-C6500A) and Epson ColorWorks C6500P (Epson CW-C6500P). The CW-C6000A and CW-C6500A include built-in auto cutters, while the CW-C6000P and CW-C6500P include built-in label peelers — making these the first color inkjet label printers to offer peel-and-present4 — ideal for fast, print-and-apply applications.

Note: the main difference between the Epson C6000 series and Epson C6500 series is that the Epson C6000 label printer series support up to 4″ wide label printing (and 8″ outside diameter rolls), whereas the Epson C6500 label printer series support up to 8″ wide label printing (and 6″ outside diameter rolls).

High-Quality Printing

Epson-engineered PrecisionCore® TFP® printhead technology delivers ultra sharp text and precise barcodes. Coupled with a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, this printhead technology produces varying droplet sizes that can produce smooth gradations, fine image details and a huge gamut of vibrant, accurate colors. Whether the challenge is to produce complex informational labels or high-quality color product labels, the Epson ColorWorks C6000/C6500 series is certainly up to the challenge.

ESC/Label & ZPL II Interface Languages

ZPL II capabilities allow you to experience the advantages of Epson inkjet technology without reprogramming existing systems. ESC/Label command extensions can be added to unlock the power of color. Leverage color for logos, product pictures, color-coded fields and marketing messages to improve overall brand image and business.

Remote Management Tools

Epson made the Epson ColorWorks C6000A Label Printer for large-scale enterprise environments. To support these high-volume scenarios, a wide range of remote management tools are available. These tools allow IT and support teams to remotely monitor the status of large fleets of printers, generate email alerts for items needing attention, remotely deploy firmware updates, set up complex network environments, and view or modify settings from any computer browser or Android™ or Apple® powered smartphone.

General-Purpose I/O Port

Designed for mission-critical production, Epson CW-C6000A label printer comes equipped with a general-purpose I/O (GPIO) port. This gives automation developers all the control they need to seamlessly integrate the printer into their automated workflow. The GPIO port provides all the necessary information on supply levels, status, faults and readiness. Inputs enable users to pause, clean and print.

What’s in the Box

Helpful Tip: Epson states that when using the printer for the first time, the replacement interval for the maintenance box is shorter than usual as ink charging consumes the ink. This is why Texas Label Printers recommends that customers also purchase an additional maintenance box and an additional set of ink cartridges at the time of purchase.

2 reviews for Epson ColorWorks C6000A Label Printer

  1. Lawrence S

I purchased this printer a little over a month ago and have been using it with no hiccups regularly. On occasion I’ve had to call in for tech support to get some adjustments dialed in. It really nice to do business with a company with such an awesome support team Stewart did an excellent job, was patient and super helpful. I would strongly recommend this printer and company!

  2. Jason L

We purchased this printer for use that replaced printing on Avery labels and then manually cutting to size. The print quality is pretty good (although Epson could really invest in the UI to set DPI settings). Regardless of Epson in this review, Texas Label Printers has been excellent to work with. I would not hesitate to work with them again when spending this much money on equipment.

Thank you for the positive review. Regarding the UI, the highest quality option (1200 x 1200 DPI) can only be changed in the print driver (not on the LCD display). You must select “Max Quality” in the print driver to print in 1200 x 1200 DPI. Epson will hopefully resolve or simplify this with future firmware or driver updates because the options on the LCD display settings can be somewhat confusing because the LCD display currently only shows a resolution option up to 600 DPI (whereas the driver can allow for up to 1200 DPI printing).
